From the shop owner
My name is Tony Mentel, I live and work in Hove. I studied at the Royal college of Art in London, and I have been working as a fashion and textile designer for 22 years, but I always held a passion for art and interiors.
Lockdown finally gave me the time to start an online shop with all the things I’ve hand made in Brighton. I love the idea of making sustainable pieces, so I use vintage, recycled and fashion textile waste to create my intricate patchwork cushions, each one is unique with combinations of many luxurious interior and fashion textiles.
I also love to paint, and I also like to reuse antique and vintage frames.

I love the repurposing Tony does with these gorgeous cushions - each one telling not just one but a dozen stories. Using textiles that he has collected over his 20 years in the fashion industry, each panel is painstakingly patched together to create these beautiful cushions.
