Planted Yoga Rugs

From the shop owner

Planted Yoga Rugs is a luxury but affordable yoga mat brand, overriding the conventional expectation of a yoga mat. The rugs are made from a soft woven fabric to create support and comfort. The abstract designs are created in collaboration with UK artists and are influenced by nature, movement and architecture; sparking more creativity during the experiential activity of yoga.

I dreamed up the brand at the beginning of lockdown 1 when I was out of work, and struggling to get by teaching yoga via Zoom. I poured my creative energy into designing a concept and product that I was passionate about, and most of all I wanted to use the brand to inspire a new crowd that needed motivation to make time for movement & breath. The yoga rugs advocate rest and time out, and are designed to stay in your safe space at home.

Some of the designs we’ve released so far include the Original Monstera (water, fire and earth), Bird of Paradise (dream and midnight) and now the new batch is in collaboration with Brighton based artist Lois O’Hara. You can sign up to find out first details of the launch by going to our website (just click on the Shop button and you'll be whizzed directly there).

Why we love

Planted Yoga Rugs

A great idea backed up with effortlessly stylish design, Planted Yoga Rugs is the kind of thing I love to discover. These chic yoga rugs are a world away from my rather battered purple foam effort! When I do get round to getting my downward dog on, I know how important my immediate surroundings are - so it makes so much sense to own a very lovely mat to do your yoga practice on.

The designs are beautiful and I can't wait to see the full new range designed by fabulous Brighton artist Lois O'Hara (Oh, how I love a local collab!). The sneaky peeks I've seen so far look as good as you'd imagine.

This really is a perfect gift for any yogis you may know - go and take a look at the full range.
