Jessamin is a Brighton based artist, designing and creating handcrafted homewares for her small business Left Mitten Makes. Working from her home studio, she creates both functional and decorative items using Jesmonite, a water-based, non-toxic resin. She takes inspiration from the colours and textures of the city and the sea.

I have been following Left Mitten Makes for a while but recently I got a chance to see Jessamin's gorgeous makes in the flesh at The Stanley Road Pop-up Department Store (where all the cool crafters are hanging out!). The finish and attention to detail was just screaming out - I don't think I left one piece unstroked.
With both beautiful bright terrazzo and chic moody, paler shades, it's like Brighton created in jesmonite form. And, as with Brighton, that means there's something for everyone. They make such fantastic gifts, go and take a look at all Jessamin's stunning homewares.
